Call of Duty: Ghosts is going to be significantly different than previous games from a single player perspective. Obviously, Riley will play a role in the game, but Infinity Ward is aiming to give players something to search for in the single player campaign.
In a recent interview with OPM, Mark Rubin explains that Easter Eggs will play a role in the Call of Duty: Ghosts campaign. “It’s almost Easter Eggish,” said Rubin. “If you figure out in the level that there is something you can do, you get some other objective and some other part of the mission that you didn’t know about if you didn’t sort of do something.”
“You might find something, if you grrab it, then something opens up later in a different mission.”
According to Rubin, there are numerous levels that feature this sort of mechanic, leaving Ghosts linear campaign with something for completionists to strive for. So it looks like Call of Duty: Ghost will be somewhat different than Black Ops 2 when it comes to the single player side of things.
Now if we could only get some multiplayer details about the game, those Rubin promised earlier this month for sometime in August.
