Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War has nearly been out for a month now. It’s definitely one of the better Call of Duty games in recent years, offering up a lot more in the Campaign along with a fun multiplayer offering. During this time though, players have been eagerly waiting for Season One, the game’s first major update. Unfortunately, it looks like we’ll have to wait just a little bit longer. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Season One is being delayed from December 10 to December 16, meaning we’ll have to wait that little bit longer. Thankfully though, it’s not all bad.
Treyarch mainly attributes this to Season One being the biggest free update a Black Ops game has seen in history. There’ll be new operators, weapons, progression, and Battle Pass rewards all going across both the main game and Warzone. As such, they’ll need a little more time in the oven to ensure this all transfers over smoothly. Whether that’ll be true remains to be seen, but we do get some sweet rewards in the meantime. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will have double XP and weapon XP from December 12 until the launch of Season One. This means you’ll be able to race to max prestige just before we get some new prestige levels in the next season.
There will also be two free bundles coming to Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War in the remaining pre-season. You just need to log in at any point between December 8 at 10 AM PT and 11 PM PT on December 15. From there, both bundles will be immediately available in your inventory. The details of these bundles will come later.
