When it comes to creating your weapon builds in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, there’s plenty of options to choose from. Whether you want to get into close quarters with a submachine gun, or battle at mid-range with an assault rifle, each class can be tailored to you. One such weapon type is the sniper rifle, which can benefit from a few key details. That’s why, in this guide, I’m going to tell you the best sniper class you can make in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.

The Best Sniper Class in Black Ops Cold War

Now the first thing you’ll want to do is pick a formidable sniper rifle. Cold War offers three, with one (at least to me) being the clear best option. The LW3 – Tundra is said option, sporting great damage and a one-shot kill to the head, chest, and shoulders. The Pelington is definitely an alright choice, but its more restrictive one-shot potential and bullet velocity make it worse than the Tundra. Meanwhile, the M82 just isn’t fun to use. It feels very bulky and on top of that, has the worst damage and one-shot potential of the three snipers. In the end, the Tundra is your best choice for both traditional sniping and quickscoping.

For attachments here, you’ll want to run the Royal and Kross 4X, Flash Hider .308, 29.1″ Combat Recon, SOF Target Designation, Bipod, 7 RND, Field Tape, and Raider Pad. These are the best all-around options when it comes to protecting yourself and scoring consistent hits. If you’re planning to quickscope though, it may be best to use the Iron Sights/Kobra Red Dot and the Infiltrator Grip instead. For the rest of us though, these attachments will prove exceedingly well. Alongside it, you’ll want a Gallo SA12 with whatever attachments you prefer. You never know when someone might be sneaking up on you.

As for the rest of the kit, you’ll want a Stun Grenade, Semtex, and Proximity Mine for deployable. These will help in tight situations, with the Proximity Mine helping to protect against pesky stealth players running upon your sniper’s nest. Trust me, in a game like Cold War, there’s plenty. For Perks, I like taking Paranoia, Gearhead, and Cold Blooded to all benefit sniping or setting up your sniping spot. Finally, the Gunfighter Wildcard will let you get those extra attachments on your sniper for even better sniping.
