Burnout Paradise Remastered is releasing on March 16, bringing one of the most appreciated arcade racing games for the first time ever for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. A 10-hour trial is already available on EA Access for Xbox One, while a PC release is slated for later this year.

In case you can’t try Burnout Paradise Remastered by yourself, maybe because you don’t own an Xbox One, no problem – we have an initial rush of reviews that might come in your help right a few days before the official launch.

From the looks of it, the first reviews are quite positive, even though there’s someone who thinks the remaster is just an upscale of sorts for the new consoles. Interestingly, though, the majority of the opinions says, on the contrary, the game appears to be very good.

  • Gadgets 360 – 6
  • Game Revolution – 3.5/5
  • Video Chums – 9.3
  • Areajugones – 8.5
  • Vandal – 8

Technically speaking, VG247 says that the new Burnout Paradise has “an untouchable sense of speed, but the paint job is underwhelming”.

“Speaking of getting a fresh motor – as a prettied-up version of Criterion’s classic, Burnout Paradise Remastered is underwhelming. Yes, the resolution is higher and it looks sharper as a result, but you won’t mistake this for a current-gen game.”
