On February 27th Bungie will release the Season 2 update for Destiny which includes Nightfall Scoring & High Score Tracking, a number of emblem variants, and other new features. Not everything that was originally promised for version 1.1.3 will be released on February 27th as Bungie has shifted a handful of things out to March 27 and update 1.1.4.
Two big items that will miss next week’s update include the Exotic repetition reduction and unique Nightfall Strike rewards. Instead they will arrive next month in addition to the previously scheduled items.
Bungie says that “Teams are hard at work ensuring these upcoming features not only meet a proper quality bar, but also don’t endanger other aspects of the game with potential bugs or issues. We’ll keep you updated every step of the way to make sure you know when to expect items to be released.”
Here’s what to expect in Destiny 1.1.3:
- Nightfall Scoring & High Score Tracking
- Destination Emblem Variants
- Crucible Emblem Variants
- Nightfall Emblem Variants
- Fireteam Members on Destination Map
- PC Public Text Chat
- Companion Mod/Shader Interactions
- Prestige Nightfall Challenge Cards
Ahead of this update, the Destiny 2 servers will see some downtime to implement the changes. Maintenance will begin on February 27th at 8AM PT. Players will NOT be able to sign-in to Destiny services during this time. At 9AM PT players will be able to download update 1.1.3. Bungie expects that server maintenance will conclude at 10AM PT.
