Take Two Interactive, the parent company of Rockstar Games, has filed a new trademark for the long dormant series.
The request is for the word “Bully” to be trademarked as an International Class 9 product, which covers:
- Computer and video game programs and software
- Downloadable digital materials
- Multimedia files
- Animation in the field of video games and computer games
The first Bully trademark was filed, as noted in the document, back in 2006, prior to the original games release. With original devs Rockstar Vancouver now part of Rockstar Toronto, and being done with Max Payne 3 last year, Bully might be a candidate for the next gen open world game Rockstar Toronto has been gathering staff for.
No official announcements have been made, but this is an indicator that Rockstar may well be looking at a return to the world of Jimmy Hopkins in the near future.
