Bridgerton Season 2 Halted Due to COVID
The period drama Bridgerton is one of Netflix’s most successful shows. And due to that success, this year is supposed to be the production and release of the second installment. But, as popular as viewers make it, that popularity cannot put a stop to COVID-19. Netflix has recently announced a halt to the production for part two. And that stop for Bridgerton Season 2 is currently indefinite.
Netflix announced Friday that someone contracted COVID-19. It is unknown if they are cast or crew. But they are currently in isolation. All we know is one person has it. But both the cast and production crew are taking tests. Production had originally begun months ago in various London locations. With the UK set to open fully, things appeared to be going well for Bridgerton Season 2. But with the announcement of a Delta variant, things may get worse before they get better.
Hopefully, the individual recovers quickly. That way, the series can make its way to viewers’ screens. With the UK having daily cases in the thousands, resuming production seems far off.
