During an appearance on Variety’s Actors on Actors with Adam Sandler, Brendan Fraser made it known that his name has been mispronounced all the while. Sandler was talking about the first time he met Fraser, also mispronouncing his colleague’s last name.

At that point, Fraser, 54, corrected Sandler, 56, on the correct way to pronounce his name. According to Fraser, his name sounds or rhymes with “razor.” In other words, “Frazor” is the correct pronunciation.

He jokingly pretended to shave with a razor saying, “You shave with a razor” at Sandler. The Blended actor’s beard was indeed due to be scrapped off. Sandler replied and said he didn’t even know they were that grown. He also disclosed that it was just two days of not shaving.

One of the downsides of being famous is getting your name mispronounced. Brendan Fraser isn’t the only celebrity who has come out to say his name is mispronounced. Last month, award-winning English singer, Adele, came out to correct the pronunciation of her name.

Brendan Fraser and Other Stars Point Out the Right Way To Pronounce Their Name

34-year-old star singer, Adele, set the record straight about the pronunciation of her name, just like Brendan Fraser. She had a Q&A in Los Angeles with fans to promote the release of her “I Drink Wine” music video.

A fan from London asked the singer a question via satellite during the session. Adele quickly disclosed that the lady said her name perfectly. Then the singer seized the opportunity to correct fans that it’s “uh-dale,” not “ah-dell.”

Lindsay Lohan earlier this year also corrected fans that mispronounced her name. She revealed that they have been wrongly stressing the syllable of her last name. Instead of Lo-hen,” it’s”LO-han.”

Brendan Fraser, Adele, and Lindsay Lohan weren’t the only ones with mispronounced names. Chrissy Teigen also tweeted a video in 2018 about the right way to pronounce her name. The model disclosed that it wasn’t “tee-gen” but “tie-gen.”
