Brendan Fraser and Christina Applegate were part of the big names present at the Ed Asner’s Family Center annual charity table read of the Christmas classic, It’s a Wonderful Life, with great performances. The star-studded charity event is to benefit the Ed Asner Family Center.

It’s a place that caters to special needs individuals, helping them achieve their creative dreams. The Ed Asner Family Center assists these unique dreamers by teaching them valuable lessons about themselves and the world.

Such a vision is endearing and inspiring. Little wonder many stars availed themselves to recreate Frank Capra’s 1946 iconic classic.

George Bailey’s iconic character was portrayed by Brendan Fraser while Christina Applegate played Mary Hatch. Mary’s role was first occupied/played by Donna Reed.

The movie has a great storyline that makes it handy with the festive season around the corner. Fraser and some colleagues spoke about their experience after playing their roles.

Brendan Fraser, Christina Applegate, and Other Stars Were Grateful After Their Performance on Ed Asner’s family Center’s It’s a Wonderful Life Charity Table Read

It’s a blessing for people to enjoy their skills. Double blessings when it’s for a philanthropic purpose.

The stars present at the Ed Asner Family Center’s event were grateful after their performance of the Christmas classic. JK Simmons portrayed the villain of the movie, Lionel Barrymore’s Mr. Potter. The charming guardian angel Clarence was played by Seth Rogen, though it was first acted by Henry Travers.

Although Seth admitted at the Q&A session after the event that he’d never seen the film, his performance was great nonetheless. Other stars were just thankful for participating in the event.

The 1946 movie is the story of George Bailey, a small-town businessman, who was frustrated about life. Despite the joy that comes with Christmas time, he thought of ending it all. Fortunately, an angel is sent from heaven to show him what life would have been like without his existence.

Per ET, Brendan Fraser and Christina Applegate brought holiday magic to the charity table read of the Christmas classic. Fraser said he was honored to read Stewart’s decade-long lines in one of the most beloved movies in history.

Applegate, who had a working relationship with Asner, recalled how he was ‘foul-mouthed and authentic in the most beautiful way.’ The late actor’s life and legacy were also celebrated by the group.

This is the event’s third year in a row, and so far Fraser, Applegate, and Simmons brought their roles to life like nobody ever has.

Ed Asner must be happy wherever he is!
