It’s now been three months since Borderlands 3 released initially, and most fans have played through the campaign. Now they’re likely looking for more, and it appears Gearbox is looking to satisfy those fans. As of today, Moxxi’s Heist of The Handsome Jackpot is available to purchase for owners of Borderlands 3. This is the first expansion for the game, adding several new areas and a lot more content for players to get their hands on.
The Handsome Jackpot has been on lockdown for seven years now, and Moxxi’s looking to get some final revenge on Handsome Jack. Your goal is to infiltrate his space-station casino and take home all its riches. This task won’t prove easy, though, as, despite his death, the casino is heavily guarded by many new and old Hyperion robots. Moxxi may have an idea or two, though, which you’ll see during the expansion. If the expansion’s story doesn’t convince you, we have some gameplay that might entice you.
This expansion is the first of four paid expansions as part of the game’s season pass offerings and is available for $14.99 on all platforms. You can also purchase the season pass for $49.99, which will offer all four expansions while saving $10. You can find Moxxi’s Heist of The Handsome Jackpot or the Season Pass on your store of choice. This isn’t all the news for Borderlands 3 today, as 2K has announced that two Twitch Prime offerings are coming to the game. One currently isn’t available, but the other is and offers the Caster Blaster weapon trinket along with three golden keys.
Needless to say, plenty to look out for as a fan of the games today. If you don’t know what Borderlands 3 is, though, it’s an action RPG developed by Gearbox Software. Play one of four vault hunters as you go on a hunt for mountains of loot. On the way, you’ll meet new and old friends along with work to stop the abrasive Calypso Twins. With several planets to venture on and billions of guns to collect, this is a title not worth missing. You can pick up the game for $60 regularly, but it’s currently on sale for $38.99 on all stores. More specifically, the Epic Games Store version is only $28.99, thanks to their coupon promotion.
The game has primarily only been on Xbox One, PS4, and PC as to be expected. Recently though, the game was released on Google Stadia, offering another way to play your favorite looter-shooter.
