Boomerang X, the latest Devolver Digital experience and the first from indie developer DANG, will be launching on various platforms in a week’s time. Players can soon jump into the shoes of an unnamed mummy and get straight to slicing and dicing using an X-shaped boomerang. There’s even a large focus on accessibility features, something that many more developers should be striving for. With so much going for the title, you might wonder if Boomerang is on its way to PlayStation platforms. No need to be concerned though as, in this guide, we’ll answer that very question!

Is Boomerang X Coming to PlayStation?

To give the short answer, no. As of writing, Boomerang X has not been announced for either PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5, and we’re in the dark as to when that could come. That doesn’t mean you should give up hope though, as there are plenty of good reasons to say that could happen in the future. As an example, we had mentioned that Boomerang X will focus heavily on accessibility features, letting many players have a go at the title. With that, it would make sense the team would bring it to other platforms. The more the merrier, right? The other piece of evidence is in the partnership with Devolver Digital, though this evidence has a bit less weight to it. The publisher has helped port many of its games to various platforms in the past, so it’d make sense here with a Nintendo Switch version. The reason this holds less weight to it is the many games that are platform-specific, though very rarely with a console and PC in tandem.

You should keep in mind though that neither of these pieces of evidence is definitive towards a future release. At this point, they should be taken as strictly rumors, and nothing more. Still, one can hope to see the game come to other platforms in the future.
