The developers at Bluepoint Games have been pretty quiet after producing the amazing Shadow of the Colossus remake for PlayStation 4, but it’s also hinted in the past that its next project would be another remake, and not such an obvious one that fans were expecting.
That kind of makes a message they shared today very interesting. The company took to Twitter and shared a somewhat cryptic note wishing everyone a Happy Halloween. But check out the post below, and you might notice a few hints.
At first, it sounds like the developer is hinting at a return of the Castlevania franchise, with a mention of “symphony” and the use of bats against a red moon in the GIF. But then there are other things, like the mentions of the words “syphon” and “filter,” along with “solid,” “black,” and “twisted.”
So calm this spooky night. A symphony of rumors – not one, but two – return from shadow. A resistance to dart home as black monsters escape twisted hills to wander lands and syphon souls. Filter your candy collections, soft from solid, and be eco-friendly. Have a metal Halloween. pic.twitter.com/mFFxI7BIDN

It also noted “not one, but two” rumors, indicating that it might have more than one remake in the works. Syphon Filter and Twisted Metal Black, two hits from PlayStation’s previous eras, could very well be on the plate. And, of course, there’s always the chance Metal Gear Solid could be in that mix, with fans asking for a remake from that series.
It’s all speculative at this point, and Bluepoint hasn’t said anything outside the tweet. But with this, it’s got a wide-open future ahead of it. Whatever it’s working on, we’re keeping a close watch. Especially considering it could be on the level of Colossus’ quality. No, seriously, check the trailer out below to get a good look at how amazing it is.
We’ll let you know as soon as anything official is announced.
