Critically-acclaimed action platformer adds Classic Mode, a highly-anticipated throwback experience, plus Kingdom Crossover, a new map based on 2D side-scrolling strategy game Kingdom: Two Crowns
New additions for Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night have been released: “Classic Mode” and “Kingdom Crossover.” This latest DLC update is part of a long and steady stream of content planned for the retro-inspired game. The developers aim to continually satisfy new and old fans with a steady stream of Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night content throughout 2021.
Classic Mode
Updated Classic Mode sends Miriam into a strange new 8-bit world armed only with a sword-whip and your gaming prowess. You will once again be entering the demonic castle to defeat Gebel. Miriam will need to survive five harrowing stages and five sub-bosses that stand in her way. Once Classic Mode is finished, you will be graded on time, score, and number of deaths across three difficulty modes. To activate Classic Mode, go to the EXTRA MODES option on the main menu screen.
Kingdom Crossover
Publishers Raw Fury and 505 Games (creators of Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night) are teaming up again, but this time, bringing the world of Kingdom: Two Crowns into Bloodstained. The aptly named Kingdom Crossover content includes a new area that captures the beautiful, modern pixel art aesthetic of Kingdom. There will be a new boss, the Archer Familiar Shard, for players to face off against. There are also new pieces of equipment which you can find, one of which is the Crown Head Gear, which reduces damage at the cost of gold.
